Aubrey Burl is a highly respected authority on stone circles and here he gives a comprehensive listing of all the known circles in Britain, Ireland and Brittany, along with a brief description of the circle, its size, history, archaeology, folklore etc.
This is a practical book for practical situations and it certainly came in useful during a camping holiday in Scotland last year. It is a handy size with an easy to use index - just right for throwing in the rucksack when you're off out circle hunting.
